Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Elevate located?
Adding therapy appointments to an already busy schedule can be challenging! Elevate's evaluations and therapy sessions come TO your child within private preschools and daycares.
For those families that are not enrolled in private school/daycare, therapy is provided in a home-based clinic in the Cartersville area.

Therapy is provided to adults through secure telehealth sessions, accessible on any device with an internet connection.
How soon can we get started?
Initiation of services can happen quickly depending on availability of appointment spots and the speed of returning all necessary consent forms.
Please reach out by submitting a contact form or an email to angela@elevateSLPservice.com.
Will my insurance cover my visit?
Elevate Speech Language Pathology Services, LLC is a private-pay based company. We do NOT accept insurance; we are considered an out-of-network provider for ALL insurances. This allows freedom of services to begin without waiting for insurance authorization or having to wait for a physician to establish a visit with a child and send a prescription for treatment.
Although services are not directly billed to your insurance, you are welcome to contact your insurance carrier. A summary of charges will be provided upon request.
How do I know how my child is doing in therapy?
Therapy is just one small part during your child’s day. The real progress happens when they work on their skills outside of the treatment room! After each session, I will reach out to the child's caregiver regarding the child's progress towards goals and activities to be completed at home. Information will be communicated to families based on the indicated best method of communication: phone call, email, text message, or FaceTime communication.
What is done for infection control?
Please do not send your child to school/therapy if they have had a fever within 24 hours, vomiting, or cold/flu symptoms. Therapy can be rescheduled if a child misses school or a session.
In order to ensure a clean environment, all therapy materials and surfaces are disinfected following each therapy session. It is our upmost priority to help keep our clients healthy through material and hand cleanliness.
When does speech therapy end?
Therapy is goal-driven! When goals are accomplished, a client is ready to transition out of therapy. Treatment can also be discontinued per the request of the client, child's caregiver or the SLP at any time. Upon discontinuation of services, a discharge summary will be provided to indicate the client'’s overall progress and reason for discharge.
Services that are provided in the preschool are provided based on the city-district academic schedule. Services can begin as early as August and can continue through the last day of school in May. Families may request services outside of the school at a home-based clinic in Cartersville.
